Coronavirus: COVID-19 Latest Updates and Guidance

LATEST UPDATE: Monday 28th September –

We are currently offering our full range of services in a socially distanced manner. Appointments may be made on our website, via PetsApp or by calling the clinic.

To aid social distancing, appointments are required for all visits to us, including medication collection.

When you have an appointment please wear a mask and come in to notify us of your arrival. Clients waiting to see the vet will wait in their car and then be notified when the vet is ready for them. You may be asked to wait in the waiting room during your visit whilst your pet receives treatment elsewhere. Thank you for your patience. Working together we can continue to give your pet the care they deserve, whilst protecting people visiting and working in the clinic.

Monday 3rd August –

From Monday 3rd August clients will be asked to come into the clinic after their vet consultation in order to make payment before leaving. Please follow the instructions on the door. There should be a maximum of  2 clients in the waiting room at any one time, if the waiting room is full, please wait outside until there is space. You must wear a suitable face covering before entering the clinic.

Medication and Food collections can also be paid for at the time of collection, but must still be arranged by appointment.

We are now open in Weymouth for medicine collection by appointment. We also have a limited number of appointments to see the vet available in the afternoon.

If you or anyone in your immediate family/household are unwell or showing symptoms that could be attributable to coronavirus (fever, cough, sore throat, loss of smell or taste) we respectfully ask you not to visit the practice at this time. If your pet requires urgent assistance please call to discuss this with us.

To order medicines, make appointments and for general enquiries we please ask that you in the first instance try our app (free to download here). If you are unable to use this then please use the phone to get in touch. You can use the app to talk to our team about general enquiries, for making medication requests and for booking appointments. We also have the ability to provide video consultations when needed.

Medicine collections are done in a socially distanced manner by placing on a table outside. To aid with this all collections are by appointment only and we usually ask you what car you will be driving, to help identify yourself when you arrive. We have collection slots available for Dorchester (Poundbury) and Weymouth branches.

When you arrive for your appointment please can you alert reception by ringing the doorbell and identifying yourself to the team. Please then wait outside or in your car until the vet comes to discuss your pet. At this time only pets are allowed in the building, owners must wait outside.
